Appointment of George Miller strengthens PA Consulting Group's Strategy and Marketing Practice - 17 September 1999

George Miller joins PA from DMB&B Financial where he was head of planning for eight years. He joined DMB&B Financial soon after its launch, and played a key role in growing the business to its current position as the leading specialist in corporate, financial and business to business communication in the UK. His clients included major banking, insurance, investment and professional services organisations. Prior to DMB&B, George worked at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. He began his career at Ayer Barker where he learnt his planning skills from the late Charles Channon.

George Miller commented: "It is one thing holding data on a customer, and quite another using that data in meaningful ways. Many companies still struggle to cross-sell their products and services. And yet they make big bets on their ability to do just that – witness the prospective take-overs of financial services organisations by banks. These organisations will need to find better ways to make bancassurance work – and this is one of the issues I will be focusing on. The exciting thing for me in joining PA is that I can team up with some of the best minds in the business across a broad range of disciplines to deliver effective solutions."
