PA Consulting Group has appointed Mary-Dorothy Murphy as the new head of their specialist Payments Team. Mary has been directly involved with the retail finance marketplace, in the UK and internationally, for over 13 years. Her experience, gained in industry and consultancy roles, includes the conceptual development and implementation of a new direct banking initiative, electronic commerce ventures, major payments processing redesign and the development and implementation of a major bank’s strategy for credit card co-branding.
Mary has joined the Global Finance Practice’s team from Ernst & Young Management Consultants, where she was responsible for managing projects in the payments area dealing with strategic management, business planning, marketing and sales issues. In addition to her consultancy experience, Mary has a strong industry background - including fast-track management development at NatWest, where she gained management experience across the broad range of payments, central planning and strategy functions in retail banking.
